Made yesterday on the biggest Slovenian student event - Škisova tržnica. Gallery after the jump…
This is one of my favorite pics I ever made in Orto. Let me explain for those of you not from Slovenia. Orto is a (mostly) rock club with very poor and dynamic lightning. There is even an unwritten rule amongst concert photographers here that if you can make good photos in Orto you can make them anywhere. But here Anavrin brought their own lights and turned club lightning to what it should have always been so I was able to do this crazy colorful wide-angle picture.
Todays portfolio pic features guitarist from interesting slovenian band Firefly. I was asked to shoot their promotional concert in a very poorly lit and concert unfriendly club. I tried to do my best and I really like what came out of this one.
This is one very old pic made in a first couple of months of my “photography career”. I would do many things completely differently now, but still this one has to be one of my favorites. You see, Slovenia is a small country and this much students in one place is a very big deal.
This was made a few hours after the yesterdays one when the party got totally wild.as you can see from Umeks facial expression. The moment is extraordinary but I really wish I would have shifted the camera just a few millimeters to the right so I wouldn’t “cut” Umek. Still, I love this photo…
Everybody loves lasers, right? So this is my photo tribute to them. The most simple and the most amazing light effect that just never gets old. Photo was made on Žur z razlogom (Party with a cause) in park Tivoli. It is an annual event hosted by Si.mobil (2nd largest slovenian mobile communication company) with an all day long set with Umek.
Oh and BTW…this is my 100th post on Tumblr ^^
This was made when I received my new MOO minicards. Yes OMG was my first reaction so I found my Throwboy pillow and put it in the background and shot my cards. They even got featured on MOO blog. I really love this little thingies and I always surprise people who receive them…most of them ask me where I made them and how awesome they look so goal achieved.
