This is one of my favorite pics I ever made in Orto. Let me explain for those of you not from Slovenia. Orto is a (mostly) rock club with very poor and dynamic lightning. There is even an unwritten rule amongst concert photographers here that if you can make good photos in Orto you can make them anywhere. But here Anavrin brought their own lights and turned club lightning to what it should have always been so I was able to do this crazy colorful wide-angle picture. Zoom

Yes, you’ve probably guessed it. This is Tiësto. He did an awesome over four hour long set almost a year ago in Ljubljana. This was the second time I saw him live and this time he really blew my mind. He was performing two nights in a row and it really was über crazy. I also made a video in case you’re interested. Zoom

This was made on the same Magnifico concert as the one from the day before. As you can see the place (Križanke) was packed and it was filled with positive energy. This is why I’m doing event photography in the first place - to refill my batteries. Zoom

Todays portfolio picture comes from the same event as yesterdays - Miss Hawaiian Tropic 2010. Pic captures the explosive moment when the winner (Tjaša Sidar) was named - you can see her on the right smiling. It really was a “big bang” as most of the photographers got scared and missed the shot but I was actually waiting for the whole event to make exactly this shot so I made it. Zoom

This one of the best crowd shots I made so far. It happened on the closing concert of Majske igre (games in May) festival. Everyone is in such ecstasy because of the great concert that was going on. The best part of the pic is the girl with the beer being offered and refusing an nonalcoholic drink. Zoom

As I said yesterday the lightning on Ferry Corsten show was really unbelievable so I had to pick another pic for my portfolio. I like this one so much that I’m planning to print it out in a very large format (cca. 200*140cm) and put it on the wall of my room. Zoom
